Message of Ömer M. Koç, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koç Holding, on 10 November Atatürk Remembrance Day


Dear Colleagues,

As we celebrate this year the 100th anniversary of our Republic with great pride and joy, we also commemorate, with respect, gratitude and longing, its founder the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on the 85th anniversary of his passing.

As is known, the path forged by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s unparalleled genius and vision for the liberation of our nation is still, and will be, the one true path. A path shaped by a leader who gathered people on the brink of extinction in union and solidarity, and who carried them to victory when all hope was gone. Advancing on his path with dedication, working and producing tirelessly and never losing faith in our country are the best ways we can remember him.

The 10th of November not only marks the remembrance of Atatürk, but it also represents for us the day we prove our unwavering commitment to the realization of his ideals. On this day that presents the opportunity to understand and honor Atatürk, a man of ideals and action, we pursue our communication activities with courage and authenticity. No matter the cost, we will continue to advance relentlessly on our path to preserve the memory, the principles, the reforms of our great leader Atatürk and to carry them on to the next generations.

As each year, I am happy to share this year’s work with you first. As of tonight, our film will be featured on television, in cinemas and on many digital platforms.

As has been the case so far, we promise to never stray from his path in the second century of our Republic, and we pledge to work with all our might to carry our country beyond the level of modern civilisations. 

Each day we remember and understand Atatürk even more.
