Koç Group Aegean dealers assemble in this year's Anadolu Gatherings convention

The 33rd round of Anadolu Gatherings, bringing together Koç Group dealers from different parts of Turkey was held this year in Denizli. Koç Holding Chairman Ömer M. Koç and Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu delivered the opening speeches at the event, which was attended by over 500 dealers.

Ömer M. Koç: “The world order is changing significantly.”

Assessing international and national developments in his speech, Koç Holding Chairman Ömer M. Koç drew attention to the prolonged uncertainties facing the world today saying “The dynamics that have dominated international politics, particularly since the pandemic, clearly demonstrate that the world order established after the Second World War is changing significantly. Unfortunately what is taking shape is a world order fraught with increasing risks: one where peace has ceased to be the most precious shared interest, where brute force has replaced consultation in international relations, where bilateral interest-based deals are preferred over multilateral strategic alliances, where transactional bargaining takes precedence over values, and where customs duties and barriers determined by geopolitical calculations rather than free trade have become the rule.”

Noting that thanks to the dedication of its dealers, the Koç Group continues to deliver strong results and to invest in Turkey’s future regardless of the obstacles, Mr Koç said “Our combined revenues exceed 7% of Turkey’s GDP while our companies generate more than 7% of the nation’s total exports. The taxes paid by our group account for approximately 8% of the government’s total tax revenue. Three of our industry leaders–Tüpraş, Arçelik, and Ford Otosan–rank among the country’s top 10 companies as measured by turnover and export volumes. Our publicly traded companies account for 17% of Borsa İstanbul’s total market capitalization while Koç Holding is once again the only company based in Turkey to be included in the Fortune Global 500 list.”

Noting that the Koç Group will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026, Ömer M. Koç emphasized that the group was born with the Republic and has continued to grow and develop alongside it ever since. Expressing his gratitude to Koç Group dealers and their families, Ömer M. Koç concluded his remarks saying “In our second century, we will continue to walk side by side with you, our esteemed dealers. Just as we have done for the past hundred years, we draw courage from your presence across the country, and we consider your strength our own.”

Levent Çakıroğlu: “We are pressing ahead with our investments, driven by our confidence in our country’s future.”

Taking the podium, Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu said “We need to accept that rising global uncertainty is our new reality,” adding that the intensification of geopolitical conflicts in recent times prevents the restoration of stability to the global economy. “Amidst this landscape, we remain focused on our long-term strategic objectives. As the Koç Group, we are pressing ahead with our investments, driven by our confidence in our country’s future. Our combined investments reached USD 2.6 billion in just the first nine months of this year.”

Reminding his listeners that the Koç Group is an institution that has played a leading role in the realization of the economic dimensions of the Republican vision, Mr Çakıroğlu said “Standing on the threshold of our second century, we will continue to embrace Republican values and strive with all our might, fully aware of our never-ending responsibility to always achieve the best.” Noting that the Koç Group conducts its operations through more than 130 production and sales companies based in 61 countries, that 45 different languages are spoken in its offices, and that the group’s assets and accounts are managed in 46 different currencies, Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu advised dealers to focus on what they do best and to allocate their resources to their core businesses. “Our group supplies products and services through nearly 650 dealerships, stores, and bank branches in the provinces of Denizli, Afyon, Aydın, Isparta, Muğla, and Uşak,” said Mr Çakıroğlu, adding “By leveraging technology, we will certainly continue to access our customers more efficiently and offer more personalized solutions. Nevertheless I want to stress that the unique bonds you have forged with your customers over the years will remain our group’s greatest strength and give us our competitive edge.”
