Two Beko appliances named to Time's "World's Best Inventions" list

Beko has added a new milestone to its international achievements driven by technologies developed in line with its “Respecting The World, Respected Worldwide” vision. Two of the company’s home appliances are featured among the world’s most innovative solutions in the “The Best Inventions of 2025” list published by TIME, one of the world’s most venerable news magazines. The company’s Solar Off-Grid Performance refrigerator secured a spot in the main list in the Home Technologies category, while its Heat Pump Dishwasher was included in the same category under the “The Best Inventions of 2025: Special Mentions” list. Beko also ranked 17th among 500 firms in the “World's Best Sustainable Companies” list, published for the second time this year by TIME in collaboration with the leading statistics firm Statista. With this ranking, the company became the industry leader for the second year in a row and maintained its top position among entrants based in Turkey.

“A global testament to Beko’s engineering prowess”

Commenting on the achievement, Beko’s Assistant General Manager for Production and Technology Nihat Bayız had this to say: “At Beko, we place sustainability, quality, customer focus, and innovation at the center of everything we do, while striving to build a better future both for our customers and for our planet. With over 2,300 research personnel at work in our twenty-eight R&D and design centers and offices based in ten countries that include Turkey, Romania, Italy, South Africa, and Pakistan, we are developing the technologies of the future while striving to do better every day. The fact that TIME, one of the world’s most venerable news magazines, has named two of our products among the world's most innovative inventions demonstrates once again the level that Beko engineering has reached as well as our leadership in products with reduced environmental footprints. This success is also a testament to the fact that our established R&D legacy–spanning more than three decades with its roots in Turkey–commands respect on the global stage.”

Continuing his remarks, Mr Bayız said: “As Beko, we aim to deliver innovative, durable solutions that drive energy efficiency, prioritize the responsible use of natural resources, and minimize environmental footprints, all while making life easier and strengthening comfort and food safety for consumers. As examples of this vision, our Solar Off-Grid Performance refrigerator enables safe food storage in regions with limited access to power grids by using solar energy, while our heat pump dishwasher offers uncompromised cleaning performance using significantly less energy. Looking ahead, we will maintain our focus on sustainability and continue to develop technologies that create added value for both our planet and our end-users.”

To compile its annual “The Best Inventions Of” list, TIME assesses global nominees via a panel of editors, international correspondents, and field experts. Products are evaluated on the basis of criteria that include originality, functionality, vision, and social impact. The technologies that stood out in this year’s list were those enhancing energy efficiency, combating the climate crisis, and supporting sustainable living.
