Arçelik holds onto its lead in the 'patent language'

Koç Group company Arçelik A. Ş. has maintained its status as the only company from Turkey in the past 10 years to be included on the list of top 200 “Companies with the Most International Patent Applications” compiled by the UN World Intellectual Property Organization.
 
In line with the rapidly developing technological revolution, Arçelik is integrating new technologies into its business model, with investments that reflect a worldwide transformation. To date, Arçelik’s name has appeared on close to 4,000 patent applications.

Arçelik is also at the top of a list of Turkish companies employing women inventors compiled by the website IPR Gezgini. Forty-six of the 555 women included on the list work for Arçelik – a figure double that of the next-highest Turkish company on the list. Moreover, seven of the 100 women inventors from Turkey with the highest number of international patents are Arçelik employees. An earlier list published by the same website that featured “The 100 Inventors from Turkey with the Most International Patents” also included six Arçelik employees. Taken together, this is a tribute to Arçelik’s 20 years of systematic activities in the field of intellectual property rights.

With a total of 28 R&D Centres employing more than 2,200 R&D employees in Turkey and abroad, when it comes to patents, Arçelik should be considered the Champion of Turkey, with hundreds of new inventions each year.
